About The Position

This role sits at the intersection of Market Access strategy and business execution. The Associate Director, Market Access Training is the person who makes sure brand and business priorities translate to action, across both Specialty Care and Gen Meds portfolios. The AD, Market Access Training owns two critical activities that shape how the entire Market Access function performs: the product and disease-state training and certification programs, and onboarding for every new Market Access hire. Access Strategy, brand and TA leads, Go-to-Market Capabilities (GTMC), Learning & Development, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Sales Training all rely on this role to keep training and messaging aligned as strategy shifts, creating significant visibility and influence. This is a role for someone who wants a broad mandate and the latitude to have impact. The ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated problem solver who can turn ambiguity into a scalable training operation, and who earns influence across a large, diverse group of stakeholders without needing formal authority to get it. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in market access, marketing or operations OR 3+ years of experience in commercial/product training, instructional design, or learning & development
  • Working knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system and payer/reimbursement landscape, sufficient to understand Market Access training needs (through direct market access experience, adjacent healthcare-industry work, or demonstrated fast self-directed learning)
  • Demonstrated success developing and delivering effective training programs
  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Business, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • Excellent presentation, collaboration, and facilitation skills
  • Project management expertise, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, including onboarding and certification tracking
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence without direct authority across a large and diverse set of stakeholders (brand, TA, Access Strategy, GTMC, L&D, Compliance)
  • Working knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system, payer landscape, and market access dynamics
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design for educating on complex business models and product/TA content
  • Proficiency with learning management systems and digital training tools
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving orientation

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Training certifications (e.g., CPTM, ATD) a plus
  • Market access experience (helpful, though not required)
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Knowledge of specialty pharmacy distribution models
  • Experience with live and virtual training delivery methods
  • Background in account management or field-based market access roles

Responsibilities

  • Own product and disease-state training and certification programs across both Specialty Care and Gen Meds, strategically connecting US Market Access to the Therapeutic Area and brand leads
  • Manage the product training agenda for all of US Market Access, bringing relevant product updates, strategies and direction to the US Market Access field teams.
  • Track and report on certification completion and compliance across the team.
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts to build and deliver high-impact training sessions, workshops, and e-learning modules for each franchise.
  • Build on existing onboarding program for all new U.S. Market Access employees, across both franchises and across field and HQ roles, from day one through full ramp-up.
  • Continuously refine onboarding content based on new-hire feedback, organizational changes, and time-to-productivity outcomes.
  • Run the operational backbone of training: weekly training meetings, clear agendas, and follow-through on action items across stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely, organized dissemination of training materials, resources, and updates to all Market Access functions.
  • Partner with Compliance and Access Strategy to ensure training policies are aligned with current legal and regulatory guidance.
  • Be a strategic partner to Access Strategy teams to consult on training development leveraging adult learning principles to maximize training impact.
  • Partner with Access Strategy heads and brand/TA training leads to align training priorities with evolving TA and brand strategy across Specialty Care and Gen Meds.
  • Serve as the connective link between Market Access training and Access Strategy, so messaging and execution stay consistent.
  • Serve as the connective link between U.S. Market Access and Sanofi's Go-to-Market Capabilities (GTMC) and Learning & Development teams, bringing frameworks and tools into Market Access programs.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Sales Training to keep messaging and training approach consistent across functions.
  • Build and run training programs across formats: live and virtual sessions and e-learning modules.
  • Plan and deliver live training sessions that enhance business understanding and onboarding.
  • Establish KPIs to measure training effectiveness, onboarding success, and certification completion rates.
  • Continuously assess and refine programs based on feedback, evolving market dynamics, and business needs.
  • Bring in new learning methodologies (e.g., digital platforms, experiential learning) where they improve outcomes.
