About The Position

The Associate Director – LVA Strategy and Innovation role is critical in accelerating innovation execution across Lilly Value & Access (LVA)'s priority capabilities, which include consumer experience, business model innovation, and enhancing the data and technology foundation. This position requires a strong internal and external focus, identifying new solutions for evolving consumer and stakeholder challenges in alignment with brand priorities, while also leveraging AI and other technologies to improve LVA's internal processes. The role is agile, supporting various strategy and innovation initiatives as business needs dictate. LVA's mission is to help more people get better, faster, by eliminating barriers to access and affordability. The LVA Innovation and Operations team is responsible for developing, implementing, and measuring transformation roadmaps for new capabilities aligned with the LVA 2.0 strategy. This includes innovation, consumer experience, and the data and technology foundation, aiming to grow Lilly’s direct business, accelerate learning, enable data-driven decisions, and foster a consumer-centric mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of Marketing, PRA, Finance, Data Analytics or Pharma industry experiences, or MBA with 1 year experience, or Advanced doctoral degree (e.g., PharmD, M.D., Ph.D.).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of strategy and roadmap for LVA consumer experience.
  • Build infrastructure for consumer experience listening mechanisms to understand consumers’ lived experiences with Lilly medicines and disease states.
  • Partner to develop a data ecosystem to understand and predict consumer experience with Lilly medicines and services.
  • Lead projects to pilot consumer experience improvement opportunities and scale successful pilots into core capabilities.
  • Engage with brands and other stakeholders to understand their priorities and identify mutual areas of interest for improving consumer experience.
  • Measure, assess, and refine processes for pilots and other key initiatives.
  • Partner across Lilly USA to support business model innovation to address challenges for patients and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Lilly’s and LVA’s vision, mission, business strategies/goals, products, pipeline, and the science behind them.
  • Understand Lilly’s position in each therapeutic area and the supply chain for therapies.
  • Understand the broad range of stakeholders and their roles, as well as Lilly’s resources and how to access them.
  • Understand Lilly’s compliance requirements and processes.
  • Display knowledge of Lilly’s competitors, including marketplace and customer-specific strategies, competitive products and pipeline, and the science and value they bring.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve Lilly’s people, systems, and processes by identifying, testing, measuring, codifying, and sharing key learnings.
  • Maintain an external focus to understand shifting industry dynamics, consumer behaviors, challenges, and emerging vendors/technologies to proactively source potential partnership opportunities.
  • Partner with LVA stakeholders to understand internal challenges, identify opportunities for efficiencies via AI integration or other mechanisms, and facilitate collaboration with Tech@Lilly to implement key AI initiatives.
  • Champion a learn-it-all mindset to drive effective and compliant AI adoption across LVA to improve internal processes.
