About The Position

RBC Capital Markets LLC seeks an Associate Director, Lead Software Developer to collaborate with business and other stakeholders on fixed income and equity trades processing changes. This role involves leading application architecture initiatives, implementing technical solutions, and designing, developing, and maintaining scalable front-end and back-end applications. The position also includes managing offshore developers, supporting development efforts, and collaborating with technology groups to adopt reusable frameworks and components. The Associate Director will be responsible for solving technical challenges, delivering clean, maintainable, and efficient code, coaching junior developers, performing code reviews, and participating in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Additionally, the role requires developing and executing automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Hybrid remote work is permitted.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in applied computer science, or a related field.
  • 8 years of progressively responsible experience in Full- Stack Software Development (Front-end and Back-end).
  • Experience in Trade Processing Lifecycle.
  • Experience in Agile Software Development Lifecycle Process.
  • Experience with File Transfer and Messaging Protocols.
  • Experience with Code Management and Code Controls.

Responsibilities
