Associate Director, Lead Exposure (Governance Strategy & Operations)

Clinton Health Access Initiativeor CHAI Program Country,
Remote

About The Position

The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low- and middle-income countries. CHAI partners with governments and the private sector to create and sustain high-quality health systems. CHAI's Lead Exposure program addresses the global health crisis of lead exposure, particularly in LMICs, where it contributes to significant health impacts, especially in children. The program focuses on market shaping and governance, with the governance pillar aiming to establish or revitalize multi-sectoral coordination structures (like Technical Working Groups) to enable strategic planning, stakeholder coordination, and sustained implementation. CHAI often acts as a secretariat to support these government-owned platforms, working behind the scenes to build capacity and ensure they actively drive strategy and implementation. The Governance team supports direct engagements with governments, manages cross-country program operations, engages with global partners, handles fundraising, and oversees internal operations. Geographic priorities include Nigeria and India, with potential for expansion. This role is crucial for scaling CHAI's Lead Exposure program and addressing a pressing global health challenge.
