About The Position

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) is seeking mission-driven professionals for the role of Associate Director, Investor Engagement. This position is part of the Office of Communications and Engagement and will work closely with the Office of the Chairman and other PCAOB divisions to lead investor-related activities. The role focuses on ensuring effective program planning, facilitation, and execution, and supporting efforts to incorporate investor perspectives into strategic planning and communications. The Associate Director will serve as the primary staff contact for the Investor Advisory Group (IAG) and will develop, manage, and coordinate investor-related meetings and events. The PCAOB is a nonprofit organization focused on investor protection through modernizing audit standards, enhancing inspections, and strengthening enforcement.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
Minimum of 10+ plus years of experience.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage complex programs and events.
Working knowledge or experience with automation tools and other modern technologies.
A self-starter able to administer a variety of open, ongoing assignments at any one time, where some assignments are routinely unstructured, requiring autonomy and independent judgment.
Ability to effectively represent the organization to a variety of both internal and external constituencies.
Ability to respond to changing circumstances and adapt to meet new opportunities/challenges.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic planning of investor engagement programs aligned to the PCAOB strategic plan, goals, and objectives.
Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of investor-facing programs, meetings, and events.
Serve as the primary staff contact to the Investor Advisory Group (IAG), coordinating all investor-related activities, meetings, and events.
Coordinate with a variety of individuals and organizations, such as investors, investor advocates, investment advisers, chief investment officers, portfolio managers, financial analysts, consultants, foundations, endowments, employee benefit plans, regulators, policymakers, and academics in the financial ecosystem.
Collaborate with other PCAOB divisions and offices as it relates to the program and events management.
Support OCE efforts to facilitate communication with the Board and PCAOB staff.
Assist with the review of PCAOB publications and other communications materials to support investor-facing engagement activities.
Assist with compiling information to incorporate in the PCAOB’s Annual Report.
Ensure the PCAOB website is regularly updated with relevant investor communications.
Track participation, event outcomes, follow-up items, and performance metrics for investor-related programs and events.
Coordinate with the Office of Economic and Risk Analysis on research and surveys targeted towards investors.
Proactively drive innovation, identify process improvement opportunities, and use technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools, to drive efficiencies in day-to-day work and reporting capabilities.
Assist with activities, as needed, related to the Standards and Emerging Issues Advisory Group and other events.
