About The Position

Aon is seeking an Associate Director, Investment Banking to join the Aon Securities team within Reinsurance. The Director will originate, structure, and execute financing and advisory transactions for insurance and reinsurance clients. Responsibilities span the full transaction process, including business development, financial analysis, structuring, due diligence, negotiation, and closing. This role is well suited for an experienced investment banking professional who understands the insurance sector and enjoys turning complex client needs into practical financial solutions. It is an opportunity to lead significant transactions, expand client relationships, and help develop new approaches to capital and risk.

Requirements

• Strong communication, leadership, financial analysis, and transaction management skills.
• Relevant experience includes capital raising, structured finance, strategic advisory, and insurance-linked securities.
• Deep knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance industries is required.
• Ability to develop relationships with senior client contacts.
• Ability to manage several priorities, make informed decisions, and work effectively with colleagues and external partners.
• At least 12 years of relevant experience within the insurance sector, including experience sourcing, structuring, and executing structured finance, capital markets, or advisory transactions.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Originate and execute investment banking, capital raising, and advisory transactions for insurance and reinsurance clients.
• Advise clients on financing options, capital structure, risk transfer, and other strategic matters.
• Manage transaction activity from initial client discussions through structuring, due diligence, negotiation, and closing.
• Build relationships with current and prospective clients and identify opportunities to address their business needs.
• Work with colleagues across Aon Securities and other Aon businesses to deliver coordinated solutions.
• Evaluate market conditions, client needs, and competitive activity when setting business priorities.
• Contribute to the development of new capital and risk-transfer solutions.
• Guide and develop team members through timely feedback, coaching, and shared expertise.
