Requirements

  • Bachelor's (BA) degree or combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience in pharmaceutical / biotechnology / medical device Supply Chain functions.
  • Intermediate to advanced level in MS Office.
  • Ability to learn reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with members of management team and staff.
  • Must have good writing skills.
  • Must have good time management skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Able to prioritize the workload to ensure delivery against tight deadlines.
  • Previous or current people management experience.
  • Understands the importance of quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Evidence of increases in responsibility in both people and systems management in the shipping and receiving inventory, and logistics space.
  • Able to effectively balance multiple workstreams while also having strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of GMP operations.
  • Experience with transportation and storage of biomaterials.
  • Ability to smoothly adjust to shifting priorities while managing internal communications and vendor relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience specifically in dealing with autologous therapy products involving hand-carry teams.
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervisory oversight on all activities and responsibilities pertaining to shipping and receiving activities to include biopsy starting material, storage of all controlled inventory for GMP operations, in-house or 3rd party transportation activities assigned to Abeona Therapy Product delivery to assigned Qualified Treatment Centers (QTC).
  • Responsible for all Inventory and Logistics personnel hiring to increase operational readiness within a commercial environment.
  • Ensure all materials are stored in accordance with the appropriate regulations and maintains an "audit-ready" appearance.
  • Ensure all department training programs are accurate and that all personnel are trained, on-time, in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure all departmental supervisors are provided with the proper delegation of tasks and assignments throughout all shifts to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Responsible for fostering relationships with approved third-party logistics couriers that may be involved in transporting Abeona Therapeutics Therapy Product, including; MSA establishment, pricing and invoice review and approval, training, auditing, quarterly business reviews, planned contingency routes for each schedule patient, and other business concerns as needed.
  • Oversee Biopsy kit production to ensure all kit materials are on hand and available for production and that all kits are successfully delivered to the appropriate QTC's.
  • Prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations to increase operational efficiencies within the Inventory and Logistics purview.
  • Provide leadership with Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) as assigned by direct Management to support quarterly management and annual product reviews.
  • Responsible for the continual assessment and implementation of all standing operating procedures for; Inventory Control, Transportation of Therapy Product(s), Sales Inventory and Operations Planning, Biopsy & Biopsy Kit Production and Scheduling.
  • Other duties or projects assigned by management.
