About The Position

The Global Manufacturing organization is seeking an Associate Director to join its leadership team and more specifically its International Manufacturing Operation. Pratt & Whitney Canada operates multiple manufacturing sites around the world. In this strategic role, you will provide oversight of our International manufacturing network and drive the alignment of Pratt & Whitney's strategies, standards, best practices, resources, and technologies across international manufacturing sites. As a member of the Global Manufacturing leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping the organization's strategy, aligning enterprise priorities, and delivering on our commitments to our customers. This position is based at our Longueil facility and is an on-site role, Monday through Friday, on the day shift. The role also requires frequent international travel.

Requirements

Bachelor of engineering, business administration, or equivalent, with 10 years or more of experience in an aerospace operational manufacturing environment
Recognized project management expertise in an industrial environment, preferably in a manufacturing sector.
A creative outside the box thinker, with a strong ability to solve complex non-routine challenges.
Proven influential leadership skills with ability to successfully collaborate with various organizations.
A subject matter expert and senior professional with proven ability to coach, lead, and achieve operational targets and metrics. Experience as a change agent in a production environment.
Knowledge and skills of the computer tools related to the task: Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
Experience in transitioning manufacturing sources.
Strong communication with experience presenting to executive levels.
Recognized knowledge of Six sigma and/or Lean principles.
This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

Define, champion, and continuously evolve the Manufacturing strategy in partnership with site leadership teams to ensure alignment with business priorities and the achievement of objectives related to safety, quality, operational performance, competitiveness, and growth.
Ensure that all decisions consider the geopolitical environment that exists in a global economy to ensure security of supply and that strategic plans are built with that in mind.
Work upstream of potential problems to prepare for the rainy day instead of fire fighting heroes.
Provide governance for the Global Manufacturing strategic portfolio, including five-year strategic plans, capital investments, operating expenditures, and enterprise transformation initiatives, ensuring effective prioritization and optimal allocation of resources.
Guide strategic decisions related to global manufacturing capacity, asset utilization, manufacturing footprint, and workforce planning by providing recommendations and insights to senior leadership.
Serve as a strategic partner to manufacturing site leaders, business units, and corporate functions to align priorities, resolve cross-functional challenges, and optimize resource deployment across the global manufacturing network.
Identify, prioritize, and lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives that drive process standardization, operational excellence, performance improvement, and the adoption of best practices across global manufacturing operations.
Establish governance frameworks, performance metrics, and management systems that enable operational excellence, continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and accountability throughout the organization.
Partner with Global Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, and Global Industrial Transitions teams to proactively identify risks, strengthen manufacturing network resilience, and support the successful execution of strategic insourcing and manufacturing transfer initiatives.
Provide functional leadership across international manufacturing sites to ensure consistent application of Pratt & Whitney standards for operational excellence, quality, environmental health and safety (EH&S), regulatory compliance, and manufacturing performance.
Sponsor and lead high-impact continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging Lean principles, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to accelerate operational transformation across the global manufacturing network.
Lead complex, cross-functional, and global strategic programs with significant impact on manufacturing performance, capacity, operational capabilities, and the evolution of the global manufacturing footprint.
Build and maintain influential relationships with executive leadership and key internal stakeholders to foster collaboration, drive organizational alignment, and advance the company's strategic objectives.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required to support business objectives and the continued evolution of the Global Manufacturing organization.
