About The Position

The Associate Director, Integrated Analytics for US Asundexian serves as a lead analytics partner and consultative resource to the broader Product Ecosystem, delivering "decision-ready" analyses that directly inform Asundexian's Key Business Questions (KBQs). In this role, you will be relied upon to drive the analytical strategy while rolling up your sleeves to execute sophisticated analyses across secondary, primary, and first-party data sources. You will bridge rigorous analytical execution with clear strategic thinking, ensuring that both brand-centric home office and field-centric subnational analyses are tightly aligned with evolving business priorities. Reporting to the Senior Director, Insights & Analytics Lead, Asundexian, this position combines deep hands-on analytical expertise with the strategic impact of informing brand and commercial decisions at a critical stage of launch. This role will be located in Whippany, NJ. Relocation assistance may offered.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • Significant and relevant full-time work experience
  • Strong experience in pharma/healthcare secondary data analytics, with hands-on expertise across data sources such as Symphony, IQVIA, Optum, and Specialty Pharmacy data
  • Expert in handling and analyzing various pharmaceutical data types (e.g., patient longitudinal, claims data, distribution, sales, demand, units, promotion)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to independently conduct data mining and translate analyses into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as demonstrable in management presentations, succinct PowerPoint stories and layout, as well as structured syntheses and recommendations
  • Proven team and project leadership skills with demonstrated ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across functions
  • Self-starter who is flexible and adaptable to changing business priorities, collaborative and collegial
  • Ability to appropriately challenge prevailing wisdom, ensuring decisions and assumptions are based on the best available information
  • Strong Excel competency required
  • Programming/coding proficiency strongly preferred (e.g., SAS, SQL)
  • Record of professional success, demonstrated through above-average performance reviews, promotions, and relevant "extracurricular" activities/engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a proactive, consultative analytics partner to the business: Act as a trusted analytics partner to brand and sales leadership, anticipating data and insights needs and delivering counsel that informs key commercial decisions; Translate key business questions into analytical frameworks and provide clear, actionable recommendations to Ecosystem stakeholders; Proactively identify business opportunities through secondary data mining and collaborate with the Ecosystem team to design and implement analyses that drive brand growth and field execution; Prioritize and flex analytical workstreams as business priorities evolve in a fast-paced environment, acting with a sense of urgency; Challenge assumptions and ensure decisions are grounded in the best available information and evidence.
  • Own secondary data analytics and insights generation: Lead and execute analyses across secondary, primary, and first-party data sources, providing a comprehensive view of the market and noting strengths and limitations of data and analytical approaches; Perform adherence, compliance, days of therapy, and other longitudinal Patient Journey analyses; Conduct competitive landscape research, market sizing, opportunity assessments, situation analyses, and trend identification to support brand and commercial strategy; Leverage incomplete datasets to support go-local strategy and field execution needs; Ensure success and completeness of analytical deliverables through hands-on execution and rigorous quality standards.
  • Drive brand and field performance through analytical excellence: Perform field-focused subnational analyses — both pre-planned and ad hoc — to support sales leadership and field teams; Develop and publish KPIs and metrics to track brand strategy, tactics, and market performance; Partner with brand and sales leadership to identify and set meaningful performance goals; Develop new reports as necessary and translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights and recommendations; Drive brand innovation by using analytics to surface business opportunities and inform strategic priorities.
  • Accelerate insights generation through innovation and AI: Actively seek opportunities to generate insights faster, better, and more cost-effectively by experimenting with and adopting AI tools and emerging analytical technologies; Stay current with the evolving AI and data science landscape, bringing forward-looking perspectives on how new capabilities can enhance individual and team productivity; Champion a culture of continuous improvement and analytical innovation within the Insights & Analytics team.
  • Support data strategy and stewardship: Collaborate with the Data team on data acquisition strategy and data stewardship; Own business rules for brand-centric and field-centric analyses, ensuring consistency and integrity; Collaborate with the Data team to standardize and operationalize new reports and analytical workflows; Provide business inputs and requirements to support the broader data strategy definition.
