About The Position

The Associate Director HR is a seasoned HR professional responsible for leading and managing HR operations across an assigned region or function. This role combines oversight of HR policies, procedures, and programs with strategic initiatives to align HR functions with organizational goals. The Associate Director HR will lead a team of HR Partners or support a leader on our Executive Team directly. This position plays a critical role in facilitating strategic decisions at a senior leader level and requires a proactive, strategic thinker with a deep understanding of human resources management and the ability to influence. This position is for Small Bird plant locations and will require you to be in Springdale area or relocate to this area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in HR leadership roles, with a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in HR management.
  • At least 3 years in an HR role supporting senior leadership.
  • Strong computer and data analysis skills.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, compliance issues and best practices in HR leadership.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a team and to multiple audiences.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Where applicable, lead and manage a team of HR Partners and Senior HR Partners, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to ensure high performance, development, and engagement.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights and guidance on all HR-related matters to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the execution of day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, learning performance management, succession planning, employee programs, and compliance.
  • Ensure efficient execution and tactical operational excellence within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with the HR Centers of Excellence (COE), and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the HR function.
  • Implement and drive improvement initiatives that streamline HR processes to meet business needs and drive positive operational outcomes.
  • Align HR initiatives with business strategy, including identifying, analyzing, understanding, and articulating business goals and objectives at the plant and business unit level.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction, addressing any issues that may impact the work environment and overall morale.
  • Drive initiatives related to employee well-being to create a positive and workplace culture.
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices follow relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Advise on risk management issues related to HR practices and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
  • Proactively utilize HR analytics and data-driven insights to make informed decisions and recommendations related to HR initiatives and strategies that ensure business operations efficiency.
  • Ensure communication is cascaded appropriately around HR processes, procedures, expectations, and goals.
  • Collaborate in the design and communication of Business Units and HR strategies.
  • Collaborate with leadership members to identify and implement organizational design and development initiatives that enhance effectiveness and drive performance.
  • Lead talent management strategies, including succession planning, leadership development, and high-potential employee programs, to support the organization's long-term objectives.
  • Advocate for and facilitate the adoption of HR COE strategies within the executive leadership's purview.
  • Partner closely with People Operations to execute HR plans efficiently, leveraging technology.
  • Demonstrate adeptness at working within a highly matrixed organization, coordinating effectively with key HR colleagues and other stakeholders to drive initiatives forward.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration and integration of HR strategies across different areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the organization's pulse, capturing the essence of employee sentiment, organizational dynamics, and workplace culture.
  • Communicate these insights compellingly to the leadership, providing both the narrative and data-driven analysis necessary to inform strategic decisions.
  • Offer proactive recommendations and solutions to continuously elevate organizational performance, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and fostering a culture of excellence.
