Serves as the primary financial business partner for Insmed's Technical Operations (Tech Ops) teams, reporting to the Sr. Director, FP&A. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, MBA a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant financial experience (with advanced degree, all relevant experience will be considered).
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry strongly desired.
  • Experience in supporting Technical Operations / Supply Chain related functions required.
  • Experience with ERP systems is required.
  • Experienced in developing executive level presentations and reporting packages/dashboards.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Committed to timeline-driven process associated with monthly closings, reporting deadlines, quarterly forecasts, and other ad-hoc projects.
  • Dedicated team player with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • Must successfully exhibit Insmed’s core corporate competencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Oracle & Hyperion Planning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans for Tech Ops, including quarterly and annual planning processes.
  • Partner with Accounting to manage Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and inventory component cost tracking for Clinical & Commercial supply.
  • Support scenario modeling and development of financial models for capacity expansion, tech transfers, CDMO sourcing, and capital investments.
  • Collaborate with functional areas on capital projects (e.g., expansions, process improvements) and related ROI, including budgetary control to prevent cost overruns.
  • Develop and maintain functional metrics/KPIs and dashboards, and prepare variance analyses and management reports.
  • Support Accounting and Audit teams, maintain internal controls, and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
  • Provide timely support for purchase requisitions and invoice requirements in accordance with Procurement and AP processes.
