About The Position

The Associate Director, Category Sales Planning – Food is responsible for shaping and deploying a national, cross-channel customer strategy that drives sustainable category growth and business performance. This role operates at the intersection of sales, category strategy, revenue management, and innovation, with strong internal influence (≈75%) and selective external engagement (≈25%) with key customers. You will play a critical role in translating long-term strategic plans into actionable, customer-facing growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in CPG / FMCG environments
  • Strong background in: Customer Business Planning, Sales Planning / Category Management, Revenue Growth Management / Pricing
  • Experience working with key retail customers (preferably Large Format / Grocery)
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across functions
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen
  • Experience with tools such as IRI/Nielsen, panel data, and sales analytics platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and deployment of national customer business plans (12–18 months horizon) aligned to category and BU priorities.
  • Translate the 3-year Long Range Plan (LRP) into actionable strategies, ensuring delivery against growth and profitability targets.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and frame risks and opportunities across customers and channels.
  • Drive Net Revenue Management (NRM) execution, including pricing strategy, trade optimization, and revenue funding plans.
  • Ensure alignment between category strategy and commercial execution, maximizing ROI across investments.
  • Own customer input into innovation pipeline development, ensuring relevance and execution against LRP goals.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Innovation to deliver integrated growth plans.
  • Coach, develop, and empower team members.
  • Build organizational capability in customer planning, category thinking, and commercial execution.
