The job is fully remote. You will spend 50% of the week in the field. A team of Field Reimbursement Managers will report to this role. You will report to the Senior Director Patient Experience. You will be a key role at CSL and member of the US patient experience leadership team. You will be responsible for leading one of two US field reimbursement teams (East and West). These teams provide comprehensive field-based reimbursement support for CSL Behring’s entire US portfolio of products and are critical in ensuring successful patient case level access to therapy, and optimizing the patient experience. The main responsibilities of this role include direct people management and developing and deploying strategic reimbursement methodologies to ensure case level access for new products, emerging technologies and to optimize life cycle management for our products. This involves analyzing and interpreting benefits, claims and governmental regulations to inform the design of reimbursement programs and the development of field reimbursement team resources. By observing case levels observations and assessing business impacts and payer trends, the Associate Director of Field Reimbursement creates innovative reimbursement support programs for both internal and external customers. Actively collaborate across the organization including sharing reimbursement program data and results to senior executives, sales and marketing teams and other key stakeholders to secure cross-functional support to enhance patient access to therapy. This role is also responsible for delivering on all applicable KPIs and operational best practices across their region. The field reimbursement leads may also serve as reimbursement subject matter experts as members of cross functional working groups, supporting in-line brand planning, pre-launch planning and other strategic and tactical initiatives. The position is based in the field, and the requirement is to reside within the geographic area covered by the by the supporting FRM team. Travel is necessary, including team ride-alongs, customer facing visits and participation in meetings and workshops at the head office in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (business /management, healthcare discipline or life sciences preferred).
  • 8+ years sales, marketing, medical or related business operations experience.
  • 5+ years in reimbursement support services required.
  • Experience in delivery of patient services preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership/team building skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legal, compliance and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead Eastern US, Field Reimbursement Manager team to optimize the patient experience on CSL Behring’s products by providing high quality case level reimbursement support that compliantly support efficient and effective case support.
  • Lead the FRM team in the provision of support to healthcare providers (HCPs) and office personnel with education and resources on prior authorization and appeals processes, reimbursement support, and patient service programs.
  • Operate as a key member of the US Patient Experience leadership team. Providing aggregated reimbursement case insights to inform activities across the function.
  • Support patient service hub case manager training coupled with effective collaboration between field reimbursement managers and hub case managers.
  • Responsible for documentation and pull through of SOPs and leading execution according to defined best practices with appropriate training and support.
  • Champion collaboration across multiple stakeholders including patient services, patient engagement, corporate accounts, sales teams and vendors to deliver an exceptional customer experience in supporting patient access to therapy.
  • Operate as US reimbursement subject matter expert supporting head office based cross functional teams including patient experience, marketing, sales, health care systems, policy advocacy and government affairs (PAGA), medical affairs.
  • Oversee and champion reimbursement programs and team deployment to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Effective budget management including developing proposals, securing endorsement and execution within endorsed planning horizon and budget.
  • Support brand planning in identifying adequate resourcing to support strategic and tactical requirements.
  • Responsible for the effective leadership of the Field Reimbursement Manager team including continuous investment in the attraction, retention and development of talent.
