About The Position

Revolution Medicines is a late-stage clinical oncology company developing novel targeted therapies for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins. The company’s RAS(ON) inhibitors daraxonrasib (RMC-6236), a RAS(ON) multi-selective inhibitor; elironrasib (RMC-6291), a RAS(ON) G12C-selective inhibitor; zoldonrasib (RMC-9805), a RAS(ON) G12D-selective inhibitor; and RMC-5127, a RAS(ON) G12V-selective inhibitor, are currently in clinical development. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced EH&S leader to play a highly visible role in supporting Revolution Medicines’ mission to bring innovative precision oncology therapies to patients. The Associate Director, Environmental Health & Safety will help shape and strengthen site-level EH&S programs across a dynamic R&D environment, partnering closely with laboratory, facilities, operations, and leadership teams to enable safe, compliant, and resilient operations. This role is ideal for a proactive, solutions-oriented safety professional who enjoys building strong partnerships, improving programs, leading teams, and advancing a culture where safety and scientific progress go hand in hand.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in related discipline and at least 10 years of related experience; or MA/MS degree in related discipline and at least 8 years of related experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to safety, hazardous materials, emergency response, and risk.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative and professional relationships while actively promoting a culture of safety.
  • Ability to make sound judgments and respond to emergency situations in a calm manner.
  • Ability to proactively engage with stakeholders to understand and anticipate change, address concerns and provide solutions.
  • Ability to promote EHS initiatives with enthusiasm and using excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable training and making presentations to staff.
  • Ability to self-initiate activities and work within timelines.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing organizational needs.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years of experience in working with biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution and continuous improvement of EH&S programs, guidelines, and procedures to ensure they are current, compliant, and effectively implemented across site operations.
  • Drive day-to-day EHS compliance and operational readiness, supporting internal and external audits and inspections, and interfacing with regulatory authorities as needed.
  • Support investigations for all incidents and accidents on site and ensure the timely completion of corrective actions.
  • Oversee incident management processes, including investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions, advancing a proactive, prevention-focused safety culture.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and participate in safety committees and project meetings to integrate EHS requirements into operations and capital projects.
  • Manage EH&S-related consultants and service providers to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Support Facilities Safety Programs through cross-functional collaboration and subject matter expertise, ensuring effective implementation of programs such as electrical safety, lockout/tagout, fall protection, confined space, heat illness prevention, and hot work, while maintaining clear role distinction from program ownership.
  • Partner with EHS leadership to support execution of departmental strategy, identify program gaps, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of site-level business continuity and emergency preparedness programs, including emergency response planning, disruption readiness, and coordination of incident recovery activities in alignment with company requirements.
  • Manage occupational health program activities in partnership with internal stakeholders and external providers, including workplace injury and illness investigation and tracking, animal allergen questionnaire administration and follow-up, hepatitis B vaccination program support, ergonomics program coordination and continuous improvement, and maintenance of related documentation, metrics, and compliance records.
  • Provide EHS leadership for capital projects, including participation in design reviews, hazard analyses, and pre-startup safety reviews (PSSR), ensuring new laboratories and facility modifications meet regulatory requirements, building and fire codes, and company EHS standards prior to occupancy and operations.
