About The Position

The Vaccine Manufacturing Facility (VMF) is seeking a Transformation and Business Support Lead to lead an organization and portfolio of projects supporting strategic facility transformation milestones and general business support activities. The role assists with strategy development and independently manages project assignments, while providing end-to-end technical support throughout the project lifecycle. It also establishes and leads a business support team focused on core operational processes and overall operations effectiveness. Reporting to the Director, Operations, the position directly oversees project managers and leads a team supporting facility change controls and strategic initiatives. The role aligns cross-functional teams behind an integrated execution plan, develops talent, sets expectations, and maintains accountability and engagement during a period of significant transformation and delivery pressure.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
At least 8 years of experience.
Supervisory responsibility with exempt personnel; experience in two or more of Manufacturing Operations, Technical Operations, Quality Operations, or Site Engineering Services is strongly preferred within the stated experience profile.
Track record in pharmaceutical or biotechnology facility engineering/process change controls and projects, including driving strategic changes.
Cross-functional leadership, continuous improvement, engineering principles, facilities construction, facility engineering, GMP operations, influencing, master batch records, staff mentoring, operations management, people leadership, regulatory inspections, talent strategy, technical problem-solving, and technical transfer.

Responsibilities

Assist in strategy development and independently manage project assignments.
Manage a team of engineers and scientists supporting drug product facility change controls and strategic initiatives.
Unite Quality, Operations, Technology Operations, Maintenance, Digital Manufacturing, and other support functions behind an integrated execution plan.
Provide end-to-end technical support through the project lifecycle, including quality risk management, strategy development, standard operating procedures, master batch records, process development, and process performance qualification.
Review and approve project documents as needed.
Lead, facilitate, and participate in cross-functional teams to address issues and achieve project milestones.
Support team safety, environmental, and compliance objectives.
Escalate and consult with the next-level manager on complex decisions affecting critical project milestones.
Establish and lead a business support team focused on quality systems, change management, process optimization, documentation, and operations effectiveness.
Oversee project managers and align their work with department milestones and long-term objectives.
Set expectations, coach and provide feedback, foster collaboration, develop talent, align individual goals with organizational priorities, and maintain accountability, engagement, and motivation.
