This person will lead a team of HR Employee Partners supporting over 1,500 employees comprised of union production maintenance employees and nonunion salaried located at our Middletown, CT operations facility. We are seeking a high‑energy, self‑starter to drive key human resources and labor relations initiatives while promoting an inspiring culture and leading through large organizational and functional change. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience in Human Resources; OR an advanced degree and 10+ years of HR experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to people leaders and HR partners, building a strong performance culture, elevating employee engagement, and resolving complex employee matters
  • Coach and develop people leaders to build innovative, high‑performing teams aligned with the RTX People Strategy
  • Lead and develop a team in a labor‑represented environment with a clear understanding of labor processes, collective bargaining agreements, and daily union‑related activities
  • Demonstrate ownership of labor‑management relationships at the site and foster positive, proactive, and collaborative labor relations
  • Equip frontline leaders with the tools, resources, and coaching needed to effectively support their employees and enable consistent operational execution
  • Lead effectively through organizational change, demonstrating resilience and modeling stability during periods of uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Hold self and others accountable to high standards of performance, behavior, and compliance within a unionized environment
  • Solve complex organizational problems that matter most to your employees, leaders, and the HR function
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with employees and leaders, providing counsel on employee‑related and organizational matters while serving as an advocate and coach
  • Monitor and proactively address engagement risks using data, tools, and employee surveys
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, recruiting, and retention strategies
  • Conduct internal investigations with professionalism, discretion, and integrity, recommending appropriate actions and resolutions
  • Drive HR compliance and ensure consistent application of HR and company policies
  • Ensure compliance with governmental regulations, EH&S policies, and other applicable requirements
  • Lead and support special projects as assigned
