About The Position

GRAIL is a pioneering healthcare company focused on advancing early cancer detection through innovative technologies. We are building a multi-disciplinary organization of scientists, engineers, and physicians, leveraging next-generation sequencing, population-scale clinical studies, and advanced data science to tackle the challenge of cancer. This role is part of the Digital, Design, and Customer Experience team and reports to that team's head. GRAIL operates as a high-science and high-compliance company.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in an email management role serving B2B and B2C audiences using Salesforce tools, including Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot), Marketing Cloud, and NEXT.
  • 5 years of experience managing a team, with a willingness to be both a coach and a player ('roll up your sleeves' mentality).
  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare marketing (pharma, med device, life sciences, or provider/health systems).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including storytelling with data.
  • Deep experience in lead scoring based on audience behaviors.
  • Keen attention to detail with a brand steward orientation.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including experience devising and executing A/B testing and improving email performance aligned with KPIs.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy regulations for email compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, TCPA).
  • Responsibility for all compliance and data governance related to Email/SMS activities and associated platforms.
  • Ability to share successful email deployments and explain their success factors.
  • Proficiency with basic HTML/CSS editing and email performance tools like Litmus.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to drive results in a heavily matrixed, fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter capable of leading and running projects end-to-end, driving results while frequently aligning with partners.
  • Ability to serve as a liaison between internal business and technical teams to ensure business requirements are met by available processes and resources.
  • Experience documenting complex processes and using applications like Veeva for compliance and training.

Responsibilities

  • Expertise and ability to administer Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Paubox, offering strategic and tactical support to the Salesforce.com Administrator. Certification is preferred, and technical expertise will be assessed during the interview process.
  • Execute all B2B customer, patient, and provider-based email and SMS campaigns in collaboration with Audience team marketers.
  • Own product-oriented patient and provider transactional email journeys.
  • Demonstrate success across marketing automation platforms, including lead scoring based on audience behaviors, with a results-focused approach.
  • Act as a strategic problem solver, developing and managing tactical execution plans that prioritize the customer, drive engagement with prospects and customers, and achieve key objectives.
  • Analyze email program performance metrics (deliverability, opens, click-to-open, CTRs, opt-out rates, conversions) and optimize across all metrics, including building weekly and monthly reports.
  • Create and deploy various email journeys for Marketing and other business teams (Customer Experience, Sales, Finance, Medical Affairs).
  • Create UTM links following standard naming conventions for tracking and analytics best practices.
  • Manage projects, including planning, maintaining prioritization, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ensure email templates perform across device types, platforms, and modes, optimized according to email best practices and GRAIL compliance.
  • Serve as a digital stakeholder working with IT and CRM workflows, understanding Salesforce Sales Cloud, creating reporting, and advocating for best practices in lead tracking and conversion to measure marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • Partner with the Web and Sales Operations team to build attribution models across various marketing channels and audiences.
