About The Position

Hilco Global is expanding its Global Investigations & Dispute Resolution practice and is seeking an Associate Director to oversee complex e-discovery matters. This role involves managing engagement teams, leading execution, and contributing to practice development. The position offers a unique opportunity to shape a growing e-discovery and litigation support capability within an established platform known for its strength in financial services, advisory, and capital solutions. The practice advises clients on a range of matters including fraud investigations, forensic accounting, commercial disputes, bribery and corruption, asset tracing, investigative due diligence, litigation support, regulatory response, digital forensics, cyber-enabled investigations, and e-discovery. This role is ideal for ambitious, commercial professionals looking to build a market-facing practice with significant cross-disciplinary opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business, legal studies, accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline required; candidates with master's degrees or JD degrees are strongly encouraged and will be prioritized.
  • Approximately 7-10 years of relevant experience in e-discovery, litigation support, forensic technology, managed review, investigations, disputes, or related consulting services.
  • Significant experience managing complex, multi-workstream e-discovery matters and interacting directly with senior clients and counsel.
  • Strong technical grounding in the EDRM lifecycle, data scoping, preservation, collection coordination, processing, review design, analytics, production workflows, and quality control.
  • Experience with leading e-discovery platforms such as Relativity, RelativityOne, Everlaw, Reveal, DISCO, Nuix, Brainspace, Casepoint, Microsoft Purview, Google Vault, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership in engagement oversight, team development, client service, vendor management, and review workflow execution.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong judgment and ability to operate effectively in sensitive, high-stakes, deadline-driven matters.
  • Willingness to travel based on client and business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional credentials such as RCA, CEDS, ACEDS, Relativity certifications, PMP, JD, CFE, or other relevant credentials are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large or high-complexity e-discovery matters from planning and scoping through processing, hosting, review management, production, and close-out.
  • Oversee multiple workstreams and engagement teams, ensuring quality, responsiveness, defensibility, and cost discipline across discovery workflows.
  • Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, external counsel, vendors, managed review teams, and senior stakeholders.
  • Direct preparation and review of discovery plans, review protocols, search methodologies, analytics workflows, production specifications, privilege workflows, status reports, and client presentations.
  • Advise clients and counsel on discovery strategy, data scoping, proportionality, analytics, review design, production issues, and cost-management opportunities.
  • Manage engagement economics, resource planning, timelines, data security, vendor coordination, and risk considerations.
  • Coach and develop Managers, Associates, Analysts, review teams, and other team members across active matters.
  • Help drive consistency in e-discovery methodology, quality standards, documentation, data handling, and execution across the practice.
  • Support proposals, pitches, thought leadership, recruiting, training, technology/vendor relationships, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and connect e-discovery work with Hilco's broader investigations, disputes, restructuring, valuation, and advisory capabilities where relevant.
