About The Position

The Associate Director – Diversified Industries PM manages a portfolio of commercial loans, with a focus on complex middle-market transactions. The role is responsible for underwriting quality, portfolio monitoring, and portfolio administration for an assigned portfolio. The Associate Director frequently collaborates with internal partners, including Relationship Management, Credit Administration, Capital Markets, Treasury Management, and other product partners to optimize customer relationships.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in commercial banking underwriting.

Nice To Haves

High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Formal credit training.
Experience in the syndicated loan market.
Proficiency in S&P Capital IQ.

Responsibilities

Underwrite complex commercial loans in accordance with Huntington credit policies.
Monitor a portfolio of commercial loans, proactively identify emerging risks, escalate concerns as appropriate, and maintain accurate risk ratings.
Administer the portfolio, including managing delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base and covenant compliance, and product renewals, as applicable.
Attend client calls, virtually or in person, with Relationship Management and other Bank partners, as applicable.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market and industry trends and conduct industry and market research using available resources.
Assist with training and/or mentoring Analyst- and Associate-level colleagues.
Review and negotiate credit documentation in consultation with legal counsel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
