About The Position

Turner & Townsend is seeking an ambitious and forward-thinking Associate Director to serve as the Cost Lead on a major program in Toronto. The Real Estate team is dynamic, innovative, and client-focused, working on exciting projects globally. The ideal candidate is an experienced Senior Cost Consultant/Associate Director with a minimum of 15 years post-graduate experience, or currently in a similar role.

Requirements

  • + 8 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying and estimating
  • Recognized university degree
  • Certification in relevant professional organizations (CIQS/RICS)
  • Have, or be able to quickly gain, government of Canada security clearance (reliability level)
  • Competent and well-versed in producing real estate estimates in the CIQS elemental format
  • Experienced in providing quality assurance on estimates produced by team members

Responsibilities

  • Leading a cost management team, ensuring high-quality estimates are delivered to clients.
  • Developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
  • Identifying and acting upon cross-selling opportunities.
  • Leading proposals for new work or variations for existing commissions.
  • Attending relevant networking events and other promotional opportunities.
  • Staff management, including input into formal staff management and recruitment interviews.
  • Conducting staff performance reviews.
  • Financial management, utilizing provided tools to track ongoing margin levels and monthly fee/resource forecasts for each commission.
  • Producing real estate estimates in the CIQS elemental format, from class D through to class A.
