HOW WE OPERATE Marketers at Clorox work in roles assigned to Business Units, Innovation or our Capability Center. Throughout a variety of assignments, employees pursue three distinct career paths including General Management, Marketing Leadership and Marketing Specialist. This structure enables marketers to chart their own course with diverse experiences and continuously achieve increasing levels of responsibility, leadership and discipline mastery. Business Unit marketing assignments are organized into unique operating units we call “Studios”. At the heart of our Studios are Studio Leaders/Marketing Directors who function as the central point of passion for a business. Studio leaders manage the marketing group across Brand Management, Global Insights and Brand Engagement while also setting business direction and priorities for Sales and R&D. The Studio structure enables faster decision making, greater business accountability (and authority), improved brand cohesion and increased integration. In this role, you will: Associate Brand Directors work across a variety of roles within our Studios, Capability Center (including e-Commerce), and Innovation. In Studio assignments, the Associate Brand Director reports to the Studio Leader and drives integration within the Studio by shaping business direction, setting communications strategy, leveraging consumer insights, leading rapid response product innovation, and managing business analysis and reporting. They typically manage 1-4 Associate Marketing Managers and play an integral role in executing against the Studio’s business vision and equity goals.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of achievement and advancement.
  • Strong thought leadership, people leadership and GM mindset.
  • Familiarity using modern marketing platforms and capabilities to drive both performance and equity goals.
  • 7-9 years of packaged goods or relevant marketing field, with demand creation and/or P&L management experience; previous base brand manager of packaged goods brands with at least $50M in annual sales preferred.
  • Potential to advance quickly (18-24 months) to Marketing Director/Studio Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-discipline marketing team to recommend an integrated annual demand plan across marketing, sales, and commercialization activities
  • Lead concept and business case development for close-in (<18 months) new product launches.
  • Drive marketing innovation and experimentation to drive growth against new consumer targets, sales channels and uses for our products.
  • Lead integration with Sales, Product Supply and Demand Planning to monitor, adjust and recommend monthly and annual volume forecast to Strategic Business Unit General Managers.
  • Manage, train, development and provide career coaching to 1-4 Associate Marketing Manager direct reports.
