About The Position

We're hiring an Associate Director, Authorization Services Operations to join our Insurance Operations team. You will drive the program governance and KPI/operational metrics setting and reporting for the Authorization Services Team. Additionally, you will support the strategy and implementation of special projects and will deploy tactics that allow us to enhance our overall program value. You will report into the Senior Director, UM Optimization and Strategy. This position is based in our Tempe, AZ office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. Internal applicants living outside the commutable distance of the listed office(s) will be considered for this role, provided they meet all job requirements and internal transfer eligibility criteria.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in healthcare strategy and operations, and/or related field
  • 4+ years of experience managing individual contributors
  • 3+ years project planning experience

  • Experience in leading large-scale cross functional initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for operational reporting (progress against KPIs and operational metrics) and forecasting (FTEs needed) for all production teams
  • Identify and monitor progress against all KPIs (leadership level) and operational metrics (more regularly monitoring - IP / OP auth/k, avg case time to resolution, cases/hr, etc.) and driving insights to feed to downstream teams
  • Set, drive and implement the department strategy to enhance program's overall value including determining and uncovering new opportunities
  • Identify and drive execution of cost-savings opportunities by collaborating with key departments
  • Program management of important company and department strategy programs
  • Continuously evaluate financial and performance metrics dashboards to drive performance improvement and create dashboards for Senior Leadership report outs
  • Support the budgeting process and the fiscal performance for the team in association with the leadership team
  • Guide overall program governance and accountability for producing executive leadership materials (e.g., Board, QBR, Strategic Updates, Operational Readouts)
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
