About The Position

Bristol Myers Squibb Company is hiring a(n) Associate Director, Analytical Engineering. This role involves developing, deploying, and maintaining pipelines for data science-related applications and machine learning solutions, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability. The position requires collaboration with data science teams, analytics, and business stakeholders to implement best practices in machine learning engineering, data engineering, and machine learning operations. The Associate Director will translate complex pipelines, models, and solutions for various stakeholders, lead the development and maintenance of cutting-edge tools and frameworks, and partner with the Director of Analytics Engineering to monitor the evolving data science and engineering landscape. A strategic view on novel capabilities to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness in support of continuous business intelligence analytics evolution and business performance is also expected. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days per week, and up to 10% domestic travel may be required based on business need.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Data Scientist or related occupation. Alternatively, a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study and three (3) years of related experience as a Data Scientist or related occupation.
Three (3) years of experience in designing machine learning models using Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
Three (3) years of experience in conducting Machine Learning Operations in cloud-based environments such as Amazon Web Services and Azure.
Three (3) years of experience using Git to version control code.
Three (3) years of experience applying data science and machine learning techniques using tools such as Python and SQL to develop solutions addressing business problems.
Three (3) years of experience deploying data science-related applications utilizing frameworks including Dash or Streamlit.

Responsibilities

Develop, deploy, and maintain pipelines for data science-related applications and machine learning solutions, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
Collaborate cross-functionally with data science teams, analytics and business stakeholders to facilitate and implement best practices relating to machine learning engineering, data engineering, and machine learning operations.
Translate the complexity of pipelines, models, and solutions for various stakeholders.
Lead the development and maintenance of cutting-edge tools and frameworks.
Partner with the Director of Analytics Engineering to monitor the evolving data science and engineering landscape.
Provide strategic view on novel capabilities that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team in support of continuous business intelligence analytics evolution and business performance.
