This role focuses on managing a dedicated AI portfolio and consulting with IT teams on AI projects to foster a cohesive approach to AI development and implementation. The Associate Director will develop and implement ethical AI solutions by identifying business challenges, assessing organizational needs, recommending ethical solutions, gathering requirements, designing, developing, and deploying AI solutions within budget and quality standards. They will also define project scope, gain insights, allocate resources, manage timelines, and mitigate risks. A key aspect of the role involves collaborating with leadership to refine the foundation's AI strategy, ensuring AI systems, guidelines, processes, and procedures align with the foundation's mission and values. The position requires monitoring evolving AI regulations and data privacy laws, drafting and implementing Responsible AI guidelines, safety policies, and use-case criteria, and ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines and data protection. Continuous monitoring and evaluation of AI model effectiveness, optimization for performance, and vendor/technology assessment are also crucial. Furthermore, the role involves building AI literacy and ethical awareness across the organization, cultivating a culture of responsible innovation, and effectively communicating complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
