About The Position

Lantheus is seeking an Associate Director of 3PL Operations. This role focuses on managing cold chain and radioactive pharmaceuticals logistics, with a primary emphasis on third-party logistics (3PL) providers. The Associate Director will oversee end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant handling, storage, and transportation of these specialized pharmaceutical products, guaranteeing the integrity of the supply chain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in pharmaceutical supply chain management with a focus on cold chain and radioactive products.
  • Proven track record in managing 3PL relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical logistics.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for cold chain and radioactive pharmaceuticals logistics, aligning with business objectives.
  • Evaluate market trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements to enhance logistics strategies.
  • Select, negotiate contracts with, and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers.
  • Oversee the performance of 3PL partners to ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory compliance, and service level agreements.
  • Implement and maintain robust processes for the storage, handling, and transportation of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and other relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement procedures for the secure handling, transportation, and storage of radioactive pharmaceuticals in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance measures for the entire supply chain, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including regulatory affairs, quality control, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless coordination across the supply chain.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to cold chain and radioactive pharmaceutical logistics.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize overall performance.
