About The Position

The Boeing Company, BDS, SI&WS, GMSE is seeking an Associate DevOps Developer (Level 2) to join their Engineering Analytics team in Seal Beach, California. This role is within a division that develops next-generation products and services for the BDS business unit, working with commercial and proprietary customers on advanced space technologies. The team focuses on rapid prototyping and covers all engineering aspects from concept to demonstration. The Associate DevOps Developer will be part of a high-performing team working on high-intensity development projects for U.S. government customers involved in advanced technology national security missions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with an adjudicated polygraph, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. citizenship
  • 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with Ansible software platform
  • Experience with Terraform software
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Packer, Nessus, and Trivy DevSecOps tools
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, mutual Transport Layer Security (mTLS), cert-manager, Harbor, Postgres, and Windows
  • Experience with Shell and Python Scripting
  • Experience working with Government customers
  • Active CompTIA Security+ certification

Responsibilities

  • Apply modern DevSecOps / GitOps practices (including CI/CD pipelines, automated configuration/testing, containerized deployments, and infrastructure as code) to streamline integration and test activities
  • Stand up, configure, and maintain secure test environments leveraging cloud-native and virtualized resources
  • Drive continuous improvement of integration and test processes, incorporating automation, metrics, and lessons learned to increase efficiency and reliability
  • Automate, develop, monitor, improve, and troubleshoot across development, tooling, testing, integration, deployment, configuration processes, and security controls
  • Review, develop, document, and maintain system requirements and traceability
  • Interface with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external customers
