The Associate Design Engineer - Change Management, will help support the training, communication, and change management aspects of the Product Lifecycle Management Division.

Requirements

  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Teamcenter, Creo, EDS
  • Experienced with User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Hands-on experience with Change Management Fundamentals
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps
  • Experience with SharePoint

Responsibilities

  • This role will include management of User Acceptance Testing of new deployments and updates to Teamcenter, Creo and other engineering systems.
  • Manage and support change management activities for major initiatives and system changes that affect the engineering community at Caterpillar.
  • Coordinate and manage communications that are sent form the PLM organization to the 13K plus engineering and downstream users of the systems and tools supported.
  • Manage customer user experience of systems and tools by collecting feedback, dispositioning, and tracking updates and improvements based on that feedback.
  • Work as a backup when necessary to the 7 programs within the PLM organization, (Change and Document Management, Data Exchange and Reporting, Bill of Material, CAD, Visualization, Teamcenter Security, Teamcenter Foundation) writing user stories and requirements where necessary.
