About The Position

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Associate Design and Analysis Engineer – MQ-25 Flight Test to serve the MQ-25 Flight Test program in Patuxent River, MD. The selected candidate will join the MQ-25 Mission Systems team supporting the flight test program out of NAS Pax River, MD. He or she will be part of a team assuring that the avionics systems including mission and vehicle management systems, communication, navigation and identification systems, and sensor and payload systems are operational on the fleet of test aircraft and functionally validated during the flight test program. Job duties will include (but not limited to) pre-flight operations, mission planning, air vehicle checkout/debug, control room operations, post flight data download, quick turn data review, and coordination with Mission Systems Subject Matter experts located in St. Louis.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 2+ years of related work experience and a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical education
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
• Requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Responsibilities

• Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements
• Designs hardware, software and interface specifications
• Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
• Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
• Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
• Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs
