About The Position
Thornhill Family Smiles Dental in Thornhill, ON is seeking a passionate and hard-working Associate Dentist for a part-time maternity leave coverage position. The role involves providing a full range of high-quality dental services to ensure patients have a positive experience. The ideal candidate will be skilled in making patients feel at ease, communicate effectively with patients and coworkers, and work independently. This is a temporary contract position from September 2026 through March 2027, covering a maternity leave at a busy, well-established family dental practice with a loyal patient base and a supportive team.
Requirements
- Licensed and in good standing to practice dentistry in Ontario.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
- Ability to perform comprehensive general dentistry procedures.
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) Program from an accredited school or university program, OR successful completion of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) equivalency process.
- Registered or in processing of registering with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
- Eligible to practice dentistry in the province of Ontario.
- 2 years of experience in practicing dentistry is required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients’ families.
