A day in the life of an Associate Demand Planner at Altra looks a little like this. Thoughtfully forecasting a range of Altra products, you will translate inputs from a variety of sources into a demand plan that meets consumer demand, while also supporting company objectives against inventory targets and turn. The Associate Demand Planner owns all forecasting aspects of their regions, that will trigger buys to Supply Planning. This role reports into the Sr Manager of Demand, Supply, and Inventory Planning. Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. Deliver an accurate demand plan to achieve brand inventory and on-time targets, measured by achieving and/or exceeding forecast accuracy targets. End to end demand/forecast management, including roll up and validation of regional demand plans across multiple channels. Maximize inventory productivity by maintaining an 6-12 month seasonal forecast and ensure that new SCO’s are supported by enough depth to justify adoption. Contribute to monthly cross-functional demand forecast meetings with Sales Planning, Finance, Merchandising, and Marketing by analyzing historical demand and current trends with focus on reaching consensus on final forecast. Become an expert on sell thru information by analyzing sell in and sell out product performance regularly and apply learnings to forecasting models. Provide analysis and follow through for business improvements related to, but not limited to, shipping, inventory, SCO efficiency, systems, and process. Optimize Channel Size Curves & Long-Range Planning: Own and manage all channel size curves in Logility, ensuring precision in demand planning, and lead the analytical rollup of LRP and MFP for strategic decision-making. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 2-3 years of experience and professional achievements in demand planning, supply, sourcing, or other related supply chain functions. Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university with a concentration in Supply Chain, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Logility, Business Objectives, and SAP.
  • Knowledge of Power BI.
