About The Position

The Associate Dean of Students (ADOS) position is integral in building a strong, positive, and joyful school culture. Together with the Dean of Students, the Associate Dean assists in supporting and coaching staff on creating strong classroom environments. The ADOS promotes positive behavior by assisting in the planning of school celebrations and events and gets proximate with students, families, and staff to address behavioral concerns. In addition, they maintain accurate behavioral records and implement systems for improvement as needed. On the whole, the ADOS position works to support and strengthen positive school culture and can serve as a strong mentor for students in need.

Requirements

• Holds a B.A./B.S. degree.
• Is committed to using data-driven instructional practices and the techniques outlined in Teach Like a Champion 3.0 to improve student outcomes.
• Is relentless in writing, refining, and internalizing curriculum, lessons, and assessments.
• Is open and committed to implementing frequent feedback from team members.
• Communicates effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Comfortability with Google products for effective communication and completion of job responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of successful teaching experience in an urban school.
