The Associate Dean for Student Services plans, oversees, organizes, and directs OCOM’s student services departments, including admissions, student affairs, financial aid, registrar, student support (learning specialists), and behavioral health. This role ensures that assigned functions fulfill institutional goals and objectives and supervises assigned staff. The position provides leadership in developing a unified vision for student services across the entire enrollment continuum, from admissions to graduation and beyond, and fosters communication, data sharing, and program integration between departments. The Associate Dean oversees admissions strategies, student life, career counseling, event planning, alumni affairs, the Honor Code, registration processes, student records, financial aid administration, scholarship programs, learning specialist support, and behavioral health services. This role also involves developing student services policies, overseeing student health insurance, promoting student success and retention, and engaging in data-driven decision-making. The Associate Dean is a member of the Dean’s Leadership Team, participates in student progress committees, manages the student services budget, serves as a Campus Security Authority, and acts as the University 504/ADA liaison for OCOM. The position ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, including FERPA, and supports the student services team through coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
