About The Position

The ASSOC DC MAINTENANCE TECH is responsible for learning and completing routine equipment maintenance and learning techniques of troubleshooting. This role is responsible for helping to keep building and equipment in good working order for processing activities. This includes, but is not limited to, processing equipment, building, lighting, utilities, etc.

Requirements

• Equipment repair, conveyor repair or overall building maintenance/repair
• Able to climb ladders and go up in lifts
• Command of safety procedures (including lockout/tagout)
• Advanced power equipment troubleshooting and repair
• Advanced electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagnostic and repair skills
• Basic carpentry, plumbing skills
• PC skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Lifting 10 to 100 pounds as required
• Verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Able to perform installation on racking and other fixtures, plumbing fixtures, conveyor system, and facility improvements/changes.
• Able to perform maintenance techniques, preventative maintenance and troubleshoot on conveyors and conveyor systems, high speed sorter systems, plumbing & related fixtures, facilities equipment (compactors, balers, dock levelers & locks, overhead doors), power equipment, basic electrical fixtures, air compressors, and other equipment as assigned.
• Change light bulbs in facility, office areas and egress lighting.
• Perform painting and remodeling as required.
• Load and unload supplies, parts and equipment.
• Perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Complete work orders and other paperwork as required.
