Associate, Database Administration & Design
About The Position
Designs, develops, and deploys cloud-based data solutions for risk, regulatory, finance, and compliance initiatives, while supporting the organization’s transition from on-premises infrastructure to cloud platforms. Provides indirect leadership and mentorship to junior team members. Collaborates with business teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify needs, and address process gaps through proposed applications and technology solutions. Works with IT system architects, database administrators, and cybersecurity teams to ensure application designs meet backend functionality, performance, and security requirements. Coordinates with technology and development teams to integrate applications within the broader enterprise software ecosystem. Hybrid remote work is permitted, with employees expected to live within a reasonable commuting distance of their office.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in applied computer science or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience.
- Experience with cloud technologies including Azure (ADF, Databricks, Azure SQL, Microsoft Entra ID), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and DevOps practices.
- Experience with SQL and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with Python programming.
- The required skill set does not need to be maintained over the full term of required experience.
