About The Position

This position serves as a Cyber Watch Operations Specialist for the United States Forces Korea (USFK) Joint Cyberspace Center (JCC), providing incident monitoring, situational awareness, and operational support. The specialist is responsible for service ticket management, information management, and coordinating response actions across multiple organizations. This role is critical for ensuring the JCC's operational readiness and maintaining a complete common operational picture. All personnel under this contract are designated as Emergency Essential Contractors.

Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree or 4 years of experience in lieu of a Degree.
  • Must possess a current and final Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
  • US Citizenship required
  • Must possess a DoD 8570 IAT Level II, IAM Level II, or an equivalent DoD Cyber Workforce Framework 8140 certification.
  • Must become IMO Tier II certified in accordance with USFK Standard Operating Procedures within six (6) months of hire.
  • Demonstrated experience in cyber incident monitoring, incident response, and providing situational awareness.
  • Experience with service ticket management, tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience serving as an Information Management Officer (IMO) or in a similar IT support role.
  • Proficiency in managing SharePoint portals or similar web-based collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous coverage to the USFK Crisis Action Team (CAT) and Combined Forces Command (CFC) CAT floors, serving as part of the Enhanced Watch Team (EWT) as directed.
  • Monitor, identify, and report potential cyberspace incidents, anomalies, and events by analyzing data from various sources and systems.
  • Manage the incident response process, including tracking, reporting on Commander's Critical Information Requirements (CCIRs), and coordinating actions with internal and external partners.
  • Perform Information Management Officer (IMO) duties, including managing user accounts (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, etc.), permissions, and troubleshooting user access issues.
  • Manage web-based information collections and collaboration sites (e.g., SharePoint) across multiple classification domains, including creating custom interfaces and managing user access.
  • Provide a range of operational and administrative support, such as managing schedules and calendars for leadership, drafting correspondence, and maintaining records.
  • Analyze and recommend improvements for service ticket and cyber incident handling procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Perform equipment management duties, including setting up workstations, managing peripherals, and maintaining an active inventory of IT assets.
