Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Commercial Banking Portfolio Management, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex loan documents and identify critical triggers.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external partners.
  • Consistently produces accurate and thorough work, with the capacity to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of commercial banking processes and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of Consents, Enhanced Surveillance Analysis, Workouts, and portfolio management activities where Trimont serves as Special Servicer.
  • Review monthly Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC) trustee reports uploaded to Real Insight (RI), including Periodic, Property, Financial, Bond, and Supplemental files.
  • Monitor deal flow and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the RI database for both “active” and “watchlist” assets.
  • Ensure all consent requests are acknowledged, accurately recorded, reported in the servicing system, and processed in a timely manner.
  • Set up new deals in the database and complex spreadsheets, ensuring all relevant data is captured for ongoing management.
  • Review reports for accuracy and leverage them to identify potential issues on individual loans, collaborating with the Asset Manager on the Master Servicing Team to enhance reporting value for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct independent assessments of situations, requests, loans, and properties by analyzing requests, reports, identified triggers, external resources, and through collaboration with the Master Servicer.
  • Reviewing annual operating budgets and actual operating statements at both the loan and property level, and performing financial analysis.
  • Analyzing rent rolls to assess future lease rollover exposure.
  • Reviewing Asset Status Reports.
  • Evaluating historical loan-level compliance.
  • Interpreting third-party reports.
  • Analyzing Master Servicer Sites and Q&A Logs.
  • Reviewing commercial loan trigger events, such as lockbox and reserve springing impounds, deferred property maintenance, FF&E triggers, tenant credit ratings, and occupancy ratios.
  • Conduct necessary follow-ups to understand deal impact and the status of resolution efforts.
  • Performing market research and due diligence on underlying collateral.
  • Support the development of resolution strategies, processing of consent requests, and acquisition of in-depth knowledge of assets requiring additional attention.
  • Contribute to Deal Reviews, Watchlist, Consent, and Ad-Hoc Reporting, resulting in more meaningful Watchlist commentary, risk rating assessments, and early identification of potential issues to enable proactive and informed action planning.
