Markets provides solutions to clients with the means to manage their exposure through various derivatives, lending and cash products across Structured Products Group, Rates, Equities, Foreign Exchange, Municipal Products Group, Credit Sales & Trading. Wells Fargo's Macro Group is hiring for an Associate position on the Corporate Rates & FX Sales Team. The role is focused on the marketing and execution of Rates products, specifically in support of the risk management needs of Wells Fargo's corporate client base. The position is directly client-facing, and core responsibilities include management of the client onboarding process, idea generation, pitch book creation, the pricing and booking of trades, providing market updates, post-trade follow-up, and interaction with settlements groups. The candidate should have a technical understanding of basic Rates products, including Swaps, Swaptions, and Cross-Currency Swaps, with a willingness to expand their knowledge to additional risk management products in the future. Rates Sales team members partner closely with their counterparts in Rates, as well as with other CIB coverage partners, including Corporate Banking, DCM, Leveraged Finance, and Investment Banking, to cohesively market the bank and are expected to collaborate seamlessly across the platform. Potential team members should be focused on building strong customer relationships while helping to foster a strong risk-mitigating and compliance-driven culture.

Requirements

2+ years of Securities Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and 63 (or 66) examinations, or equivalent must be completed within either a 90 or 180-day time period following commencement of employment, depending upon the number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance. Registration for FINRA Series 65 or 66 must be completed prior to conducting Investment Advisory business. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required.
Successful completion of the National Futures Association (NFA) Swaps Proficiency Requirements within 30 days of hire, unless previously completed and current.
This position is subject to Dodd-Frank Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background screen. Applicants are subject to a new screen to comply with Title VII of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act which states that Associated Persons (AP) cannot be subject to statutory disqualification. Under industry regulations, an AP is defined as a team member who solicits or accepts client orders for swaps. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.
Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Responsibilities

Generate ideas and prepare marketing materials to support client engagement and business development efforts
Provide market commentary, trade structuring expertise, and pricing solutions tailored to client needs
Manage the client onboarding process and coordinate required internal approvals and documentation
Collaborate with documentation and settlements teams to ensure timely execution and processing of transactions
Partner closely with counterparts across Markets, including Trading and CVA, as well as other CIB partners, including Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Debt Capital Markets, and Leveraged Finance
Work seamlessly across the platform to identify opportunities and drive execution
Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and strategic partnership
Promote a strong risk management, regulatory, and compliance-focused culture in all business activities
