About The Position

Fervo Energy’s Legal Rotational Development Program is a two-year program for early-career attorneys seeking to build a foundation as in-house counsel. Participants complete two one-year rotations across different areas of the Legal team and work with experienced attorneys on substantive legal matters from the start. The program offers exposure to commercial contracts, construction, finance, regulatory matters, land leasing and permitting, power markets, and compliance, according to business needs and participants’ backgrounds and interests. Rotations are designed to develop practical legal judgment and business acumen in preparation for a long-term in-house counsel career. The position is full-time and based in Houston, Texas, with minimal travel to other offices and a hybrid schedule requiring office attendance three days per week. Relocation assistance is available for candidates moving to the Houston area. The target start date is October 2026. Participants receive structured mentorship from a rotation manager and a senior Legal leader. Upon successful completion, participants may transition into a permanent attorney role on Fervo’s Legal team; placement depends on business needs, performance, and rotational experience.
