About The Position

The Associate Copy Editor / Proofreader is responsible for ensuring written content is clear, consistent, accurate, and publication-ready. This role involves refining draft materials to meet quality standards for grammar, style, tone, and accessibility across a variety of publications and delivery platforms. The position requires flexibility to work across a diverse delivery landscape, including Agile application development, support, and deployment environments.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong copy editing and proofreading skills
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax knowledge
  • Ability to ensure clarity, consistency, accuracy, and credibility of content
  • Attention to detail and high standards for written quality
  • Ability to prepare content for publication across multiple formats
  • Familiarity with editorial style guides and content standards
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility to work across Agile development, support, and deployment environments
  • Basic understanding of application services and technical documentation
  • Applicants must have valid U.S. work authorization that does not require current or future visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Review, edit, and proofread content to ensure clarity, consistency, accuracy, and credibility
  • Correct grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and stylistic errors
  • Ensure content meets editorial standards and is accessible to its intended audience
  • Prepare copy for publication across multiple formats and platforms
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in Agile delivery environments
  • Manage assigned workload efficiently and provide regular status updates to management
  • Support application-related documentation, testing, training materials, and release communications as needed
