About The Position

The Associate Digital Copy Editor is responsible for the editing and proofreading of short-form marketing content for key e-commerce campaigns and enterprise initiatives across Lowes.com. This role focuses on reviewing and making line edits for headlines, body copy, alt text, and SEO-focused content for promotional banners, landing pages, and other digital placements. All edits ensure alignment with campaign goals, the Lowe's Digital Content Style Guide, and AP Style to maintain clarity, consistency, grammatical accuracy, and brand voice. The Associate Digital Copy Editor also contributes to ongoing campaigns by refining and updating written content based on performance data, user research, and feedback from peers and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent
  • Completion of coursework or program focused on communications, journalism, marketing, advertising, english, fine arts, or related skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, marketing, advertising, English, fine arts, or related field (or equivalent work or military experience in a related field)
  • 1-2 years of experience in copywriting or copy editing experience in advertising, digital marketing, product marketing, or e-commerce operations

Responsibilities

  • Edit and proofread short-form digital content, including promotional headlines, supporting body copy, alt text, and SEO-friendly content, for campaign assets on Lowes.com.
  • Ensure edited copy is clear, grammatically correct, on-brand, accessible, and optimized for both customer engagement and search visibility.
  • Review and prepare final short-form copy for input into appropriate content management systems, ensuring adherence to formatting, tagging, and publishing standards.
  • Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and cross-functional partners to ensure edited content aligns with creative direction and channel requirements.
  • Support content refinement by applying insights from performance data, user research, and team feedback to editing recommendations.
  • Maintain awareness of campaign objectives and contribute to improving clarity, tone, consistency, and overall content quality across written assets.
