About The Position

The Concord Group (TCG) is hiring an Associate Consultant in Newport Beach, California, to advise developers, investors, public agencies, and other decision-makers on real estate markets and development and investment decisions. The role is intended for exceptional upcoming and recent college graduates with strong academic achievement, initiative, and intellectual curiosity. Consultants work in small teams alongside senior professionals and receive early exposure to clients and real estate decision-makers. Assignments span markets nationally and property types including multifamily housing, mixed-use development, for-sale residential, retail, hospitality, and master-planned communities. The Associate Consultant analyzes market, demographic, economic, and competitive information; interprets findings; and helps develop recommendations on demand, positioning, rents, pricing, and absorption. The role involves producing exhibits, presentations, memoranda, and market studies, and using Excel, data platforms, mapping tools, and AI while checking sources and results. Market research includes site visits and interviews with brokers, developers, and property managers. Consultants participate in project discussions and client meetings, working with senior advisors on questions without obvious answers. TCG values analytical ability, communication, curiosity, sound judgment, initiative, and ownership of work quality and timeliness, rather than a particular major. Relevant internships are helpful but not required. With increasing responsibility and demonstrated judgment, successful Consultants may lead substantial portions of engagements, present findings to clients, guide other team members, and build client relationships. The position is hybrid in Newport Beach, California, and includes travel for site visits and market research. Base salary is $75,000–$85,000, with a bonus opportunity, health coverage, pension, and paid time off.
