Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of news writing or corporate communication experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to take a creative approach to strategic problem-solving, messaging and delivery
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Strong oral/written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field
- 3+ years of corporate communication experience
- Any experience with media, social media and digital content development
- Graphic design skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
- Develop creative content about our company’s Purpose and strategy that enhances Kroger’s reputation through storytelling
- Develop and implement communication plans to support annual corporate fundraising events.
- Create and distribute emails and newsletters to associates
- Support and promote engagement events for corporate associates
- Collaborate with and support broader network of division/department communications associates to improve communication effectiveness and reach
- Write/edit content for a variety of internal/external channels, including print, web, digital, social and video scripts
- Evaluate/measure effectiveness of communications programs using results to strengthen planning/execution of future communications
- Support building management team to provide critical updates to associates promoting safety and compliance
- Support and moderate Kroger’s internal business social network to help maintain an engaging, respectful environment for all associates
