At Medtronic, the Associate Clinical Specialist supports the Neuromodulation Pain, Target Drug Delivery and Interventional Therapies in the areas of surgical coverage, follow-up support, troubleshooting, customer service and education. This person will be engaged in basic market development activities depending upon the needs of the assigned territory and district. This is a field-based role. Responsibilities may include representing Medtronic during surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and products required are available, providing technical support and device selection, and performing programming and testing of all device systems. The role also involves managing patients through all phases of the clinical process, educating them on product features and benefits, and providing clinical support in surgeries, re-programmings, troubleshooting, and follow-ups in hospitals and clinics. The specialist will respond promptly to technical inquiries, maintain knowledge of competitive products, and educate physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on products and therapies through various teaching sessions and programs. Additionally, they will assist management and the Sales Training department in training new employees, comply with event reporting and documentation, and manage inventory for case coverage. The role contributes to achieving quarterly goals and partners with sales representatives to meet business objectives. The specialist will also visit accounts to replenish literature and build relationships, utilize various electronic devices regularly, manage business expenses effectively, and ensure understanding of quality policies. Completing new hire and corporate compliance training is required, along with flexibility for scheduling, potentially including weekends and after hours. Travel to cover district cases as needed is also expected.
