Union Rescue Mission (URM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. We are dedicated to serving men, women, and children experiencing homelessness and providing comprehensive emergency and long-term services to help them escape the dangerous streets of Skid Row. Established in 1891, URM is now one of the largest rescue missions of its kind in the United States and the oldest in Los Angeles. POSITION SUMMARY: Provide comprehensive psychosocial care to our higher barrier guests, single men, women and families. Perform comprehensive assessments for mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, domestic violence and medical needs. Provide referrals and linkage based on outcome of assessment. Engages directly with guests while focusing on complex issues that may have impacted their relationships including, but not limited to, mental health, parenting, separation, adolescence, addiction, grief/loss and trauma.
