We seek Client Advisory Associates in our San Francisco office. These are 2-year, entry-level associate positions with the potential for top-performing associates to expand and extend their engagements for up to an additional 3 years in the Senior Associate position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Less than two years of work experience.
  • Interest in financial markets and client service.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively and problem-solving in a diverse team environment where accountability and initiative are required.
  • Keen interest in developing deep knowledge of client service, portfolio management, investments, and financial markets.
  • Intellectually curious, creative problem-solver who is not afraid to ask questions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong ability to balance time-sensitive priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Manage investment portfolios for high-net-worth families and institutions.
  • Produce performance reports and presentations.
  • Provide exceptional client service.
  • Assist with building client portfolios.
  • Participate in special projects, such as asset class deep dives, portfolio reviews, and spending analyses.
  • Coordinate complex estate-planning transactions such as transfers of interest, partnership distributions, and charitable gifting.
  • Manage risk across client relationships by closely adhering to firm and regulatory policy, procedures, and processes.
  • Provide high-quality client service with frequent interactions with clients, family office staff, tax advisers and investment managers.
  • Join both internal investment meetings as well as client meetings.
  • Complete independent work for clients, primarily using Excel and PowerPoint, as well as other software programs including Addepar and Salesforce.
  • Assist teams with portfolio reporting, financial analyses and producing client presentations.
  • Work closely with the Data Operations team on data review.
  • Work with the Investment Operations team to facilitate the execution of transactions for clients.
  • Be involved in firm-enhancing initiatives, from various committees to recruiting, training, and mentorship.
