Associate Civil Engineer
About The Position
Pennoni Associates is currently seeking a Associate Transportation Civil Engineer to join our team in our Virginia Beach, VA office, with experience consistent, but not limited to: Work as a part of design team in the successful project delivery for clients including VDOT, NCDOT, and agencies in the Mid-Atlantic Region and locally administered transportation projects in Virginia. Project types include transportation improvement projects, safety improvement projects, bridge replacement projects and multi-use trail projects.
Requirements
- MicroStation Connect, OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and ProjectWise (PW) experience or Autodesk/Civil 3-D experience
- Highway and roadway design experience using MicroStation Connect, ORD and PW
- Bluebeam PDF editor experience a plus; GIS experience a plus
- Hydrology and Hydraulic (H&H) design experience
- Drainage design, SWM and ES&C design experience. CCR certification a plus
- Utility Design, water and sanitary sewer utility layout and lighting design
Nice To Haves
- Excellent communication skills–both oral and written.
- Experience with preparing technical reports and memorandums.
Responsibilities

- Developing Maintenance of Traffic schemes
- Construction Phasing and Traffic Control Plans
- Developing project cost estimates and specifications, including Special Provisions.
- Construction consultation experience
