About The Position

The Associate will cover non-bank financial institutions and have the opportunity to gain exposure to various sub-sectors (including but not limited to Funds, Wealth Managers, Alternative Asset Managers, Insurance Brokers, and Insurance Carriers), products and client groups as well as work closely with the Investment Banking origination team. Preference given for lending experience to Funds.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
3-5 years of relevant credit and industry experience
Strong financial/analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Adept at financial modeling
Able to work effectively in a team

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of detailed high-quality credit submissions for clients in the Financial Institutions sector, which will detail risks and mitigants and include a review of financial performance and key metrics, as part of a team.
Research and analyze clients’ financial situations, industry and market data.
Construct and sensitize detailed financial models that help evaluate key credit metrics, financial covenants, and sensitivity to key variables.
Compile data through due diligence and prepare comprehensive credit reviews that analyze transactions and client risks.
Assist with deal negotiations and documentation.
Interact with clients and credit adjudicators.
