About The Position

Dominion Energy Virginia Clover Power Station is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Associate Chemistry Technician, Chemistry Technician, or Senior Chemistry Technician. This role is crucial for supporting safe and efficient power generation by performing chemical analyses, supporting environmental monitoring, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The position plays a critical role in maintaining optimal water chemistry and treatment systems across the facility. Roles will be filled at a level commensurate with each candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Requirements

  • Associate Chemistry Technician: 0 - 2 years directly related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory concepts and techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications.
  • Ability to analyze and organize information.
  • Chemistry Technician: 2+ years directly related experience.
  • Senior Chemistry Technician: 5+ years directly related experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of chemistry instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of operation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of instruments used in the lab.
  • Possession and utilization of leadership traits.

  • Designation as Senior Chemistry Technician will be approved by management, and will be based upon sustained, high level of performance, and the needs of the department.
  • Broad knowledge and application of principles, practices, and procedures to carry out all aspects of the job and handle the most complex work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform chemical sampling and analysis of water, fuel, and environmental systems.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab instrumentation.
  • Monitor and report on cooling towers, wastewater, and potable water systems.
  • Prepare documentation for environmental and regulatory reporting.
  • Support unit startup and recommend chemical adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain chemical inventory and ensure lab safety compliance.
