Associate Chemistry - Environment Testing - Water Quality - 1st Shift, M-F
About The Position
Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing analytical testing services. This role focuses on environmental testing, specifically water quality, and involves applying Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). The position requires performing skilled analytical procedures accurately, writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation, and communicating results to clients. The role also involves coordinating the work of technicians, verifying analyses, training others, and assisting as needed, all while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The position is for the 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, with the same hours for training.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field, equivalent relevant experience may substitute for a degree
- Computer skills
- Ability to stand at lab bench for long periods of time
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities
- Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
- Performs skilled analytical procedures accurately and precisely without supervision
- Writes and updates SOPs, analytical methods
- Learns new analyses with minimal guidance
- Understands and troubleshoots laboratory instrumentation and procedures
- Communicates results and interpretation of results to clients
- Maintains a superior level of QC performance
- Helps coordinate work of technicians to meet hold times, rush, promised, and standard laboratory turnaround times
- Verifies assigned analyses
- Trains others in analytical procedures, principles, instrumentation, and safety practices
- Assists technicians and laboratory assistants as needed
- Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
