About The Position

The Associate Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry, and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of care recipients and caregivers in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. As a member of the healthcare team, is directly responsible for the implementation of the mission, values, policies, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve. Requirements

  • 2 Clinical Pastoral Education units
  • Graduate studies 32-48 credit hours in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry, or the equivalent applicable education from an accredited institution
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • National Chaplain Certification within 3 years of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry, or relevant religious studies similarly accepted in chaplaincy board certifying organizations
  • 1 year of ministry in a medical setting
